Our 4t achievements over the past few months have given us plenty of reasons to celebrate.
It’s been a busy time at 4t, with recognition for our environmental efforts, international awards for our work and continued progress in strengthening our business behind the scenes.
While awards and certifications are always exciting to receive, they also provide an opportunity to reflect on the work that goes into building a responsible, resilient and forward-thinking business.
So, what exactly has been happening at 4t recently?
Becoming an Ecobiz 1-Star Partner
We’re pleased to have been recognised as an ecobiz 1-Star Partner, acknowledging the steps 4t is taking to improve our own environmental performance.
As an environmental consultancy, sustainability is something we talk about every day with our clients. But it’s just as important that we look at our own operations and consider where we can make improvements.
The ecobiz program provides a practical framework for businesses to assess their environmental impact and identify opportunities to operate more sustainably.
Achieving 1-Star Partner status is an important first step for 4t. It gives us a structured way to look at what we’re already doing well, identify areas where we can improve and continue working towards better environmental outcomes within our own business.
Three International Business Awards
Another major highlight has been receiving three awards in the 23rd Annual International Business Awards®.
4t was named a Gold Winner in the Environmental Services/CleanTech – Small category, recognising the work we do as an environmental consultancy.
The recognition also extended to our Director, Bron, who received two individual International Business Awards recognising her achievements and contribution to the business.
Having both 4t and Bron recognised internationally is something we’re incredibly proud of.
The International Business Awards bring together organisations and individuals from around the world across a wide range of industries and categories. To come away with three awards is a fantastic achievement for our small team.
More importantly, the recognition reflects the expertise, commitment and hard work that goes into the work we deliver for our clients every day.
Strengthening Our Cybersecurity
Not all of our recent achievements are focused directly on environmental services.
We’ve also progressed to Silver level CyberCert, building on our previous Bronze certification.
Cybersecurity might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about an environmental consultancy, but protecting our systems, information and clients is an important part of running a responsible business.
Silver level builds on the foundations established at Bronze by introducing more structured practices around access control, incident response and backups.
In practical terms, this means defining who has access to different information and systems, establishing processes for responding to security incidents and making sure our backup and recovery capabilities actually work when they’re needed.
The Silver certification is also completed through self-assessment, giving us a useful framework to review our current practices and identify areas for continued improvement.
More Than Awards
Our recent 4t achievements cover some very different areas of the business, but they all have something in common.
They represent our commitment to continually improving how we operate, both for our clients and as a business.
Environmental responsibility, cybersecurity and professional excellence might seem like separate areas, but they’re all part of building a business that is prepared for the future.
For us, that means not simply talking about good environmental practice, but applying it to our own operations. It means maintaining strong processes around the information and systems we rely on. And it means continuing to develop our expertise and deliver work that we can be proud of.
We’re delighted to have these achievements recognised, but we also see them as milestones rather than finishing lines.
There’s always more to learn, improve and work towards.
So, yes, it’s been a pretty busy few months at 4t.
And we’re not finished yet.
